Syncing ipod on a new computer?

does anyone know anything about ipods and windows? it wont let me sync my ipod with this computer, because it's synced to another computer (which kicked the bucket) so my only option is to delete ALL my music except anything ive downloaded from itunes in the past few months (i had a TON of music that was uploaded from CDs etc... very little that was "illegally" obtained) so it wants me to delete my 2000 songs, and end up with like, 100? anyone know how to override this?
