How common is it for gay people to be married and have a family?

I'm not talking bisexual here but homosexual. As some heterosexual people think it repulsive to make love to people of the same sex, do gay people find it repulsive to have make love with people of the opposite gender? Even if this is the case then might the desire to have children override any aversions to heterosexual sex?
